The city is splitting the $67,900 cost of repairing the wall with Dean Mann, the owner of the building. City Manager Dave Martin said the wall is a "shared wall" which is why the city is helping fund repairs. In February, the Fort Scott City Commission approved repairs to the wall as well as masonry repair work on the stone walls and seating around the Fort Scott Aquatic Center. Both projects were awarded to JCL&S Contracting, Inc., a local company.
