Donna S. Wright, age 95, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the Guest Home Estates in Fort Scott. She was born July 19, 1918, in Bluejacket, Okla., the daughter of Louis Christopher Shoe and Anna Elizabeth Hill Shoe. She married Clifford R. Wright on Sept. 16, 1946, in Independence, Kan. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2000. During World War II, Donna worked for Douglas Aircraft. She was later employed by both Bethlehem Steel and OK Beverage. Donna and Clifford moved to Fort Scott from Tulsa in 1992. She was a member of Community Christian Church.

Survivors include her son, Michael Wright and wife, Cheryl, of Fort Scott; and three grandsons, Kyle Wright, New York, N.Y., Derek Wright, Seattle, Wash., and Matthew Wright, Fort Scott, Kan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Shoe and two sisters, Nana White and Rebecca Stoops.

Private entombment will take place in the Memorial Gardens Crypt in Tulsa, Okla. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Community Christian Church and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Ft. Scott, KS 66701.
