No. 4 Cavaliers control 1st half vs. FSCC women

OVERLAND PARK -- Johnson County, ranked No. 4 in the NJCAA Division II poll, outscored Fort Scott Community College's women, 43-15, in the first half of play here Saturday afternoon and went on to a 91-54 victory.

Fort Scott fell to 0-5 in the Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division II, 1-8 in Region VI Division II tournament seeding and 9-20 overall. Johnson County improved to 5-1, 8-1, 28-1, its only loss to No. 2 Highland. The Cavaliers and Scotties are tied atop the division and for the No. 1 seed.

Sierra Shoulders led Fort Scott with 11 points. Four players reached double figures for Johnson, led by Timeka O'Neal with 19.
