JV boys win tourney title

IOLA -- Fort Scott High's junior varsity boys' basketball team won the tournament title at Iola Saturday with a pair of wins.

The Tigers beat Iola in their first game, 71-30, with Josh Hudiburg scoring 25 points, Austin Cook 15 and Jordan Phillips 13.

In the final game of the round-robin tournament, the Tigers beat Chanute, 47-22. Hudiburg scored 9 points and Jacob Payne added 8 for the Tigers.

Also, the Tribune reversed the score of Friday night's game against Labette County in the Saturday edition. LCHS was the winner by a score of 59-54, which puts the Tigers' record at 3-1.

Fort Scott plays at Coffeyville Friday night.
