No. 1 Cowley ends FSCC volleyball season

ARKANSAS CITY --Fort Scott Community College's volleyball team fell in the first round of the Region VI Division II District M post-season tournament here Saturday and saw its season come to a close.

The Greyhounds (19-18) lost to NJCAA Division II No. 1-ranked Cowley, 25-15, 25-15, 25-17. Stephanie De Hoyos and Shelbey Baker each had 9 kills for the Greyhounds. Kortney Blaufuss had 28 assists. Terina Harris picked up 17 digs.

The Tigers (31-4) went on to beat Neosho County in the final to qualify for the national tournament. Cowley is the defending runner-up.
