The devastation left behind by the disastrous EF5 tornado that struck the city of Moore, Okla., on Monday afternoon has spurred two local business owners into action to help.

Dave and Tina Lipe, co-owners of Sharky's Pub and Grub, were among many other people who watched news reports of the twister's destruction on television following the disaster. Dave said Tina was so impacted by the event that she sparked an effort to collect donations of needed items this week for later transport to the ravaged city.

"My wife was sick to death watching it on the news," Dave said, adding Tina was especially affected upon hearing reports of elementary schools in Moore being hit by the tornado, killing several children. "It was about imagining how you would feel if your kid was there."
