Girard takes pair from JV softball

GIRARD -- Fort Scott High School's junior varsity softball team fell twice at Girard here Friday night. Girard's pitcher threw a no-hitter in her team's 11-0 win in the opening game. The Tigers fell in the second game 6-5 after the Trojans rallied with 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Kinede Ross was 3 for 3 with 2 runs batted in and 2 doubles for the Tigers in the second game. Emily Bowman scored twice.
