Noah Frederick "Fred" Clary

Noah Frederick "Fred" Clary, age 96, resident of rural Deerfield, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at his home. He was born May 14, 1916, in Vernon County, Mo., the son of Frank Clary and Charity Elizabeth Hoggatt Clary. He married Lois Vivian Thurman on Nov. 15, 1937, in Barton County, Mo. She preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 2006. In addition to being a lifelong farmer, Fred owned and operated Clary Insurance agency beginning in the early 1970's. He was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Memphis Masonic Lodge No. 108 Garland, the Scottish Rite, and a member of the Mirza Shrine of Pittsburg, Kan. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Garland for 81 years, where he served as Trustee, Sunday school teacher, and Deacon. He enjoyed music and fishing.
