Eagle girls roll by Northeast; boys tumble

UNIONTOWN -- Uniontown's girls rolled by Northeast in Three Rivers League play here Friday night, 54-18, in a game that saw just 10 fouls called between the teams.

Northeast boys returned the favor by running past the Eagles, 62-39.

DaNisha Robinson scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for Uniontown's girls (6-3 TRL, 9-10 overall), who have a chance to finish .500 in the regular season if they can beat Southern Coffey County Tuesday night. Once 3-10, the Eagles have won six consecutive games.

Emily Shinn added 13 points for Uniontown. Kaylee Bogina led North-

east (3-5, 6-13) with 8 points.

Uniontown's boys trailed just 22-16 at the half. The Vikings (3-5, 7-12) took control by outscoring the Eagles 21-10 in the third quarter.

Antonio Slinghuff led Northeast with 25 points. Dennis Hensley added 18.

Skyler Riley led Uniontown (2-7, 6-13) with 11 points.

Tuesday's non-league doubleheader with SCC will be played at LeRoy. They will be the Eagles' final games of the regular season. The Northeast Class 2A Sub-State Tournament, which begins Feb. 25, will be seeded on Wednesday.
