Wanda Louise Carter, age 60, resident of Bronson, Kan., died early Friday morning, Jan. 11, 2013, at her home.

She was born June 13, 1952, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Louie Harris and Trevah Powell Harris.

She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family. She attended the Mapleton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her longtime companion, Danny Spriggs of the home; three daughters, Tammy Eaton and husband Billy, Oklahoma City, Okla., Chris Ames and husband Tim, Bronson, Kan., and Brenda McNaught, Chanute, Kan.; one brother, Louis Harris, Miami, Okla.; three sisters, Vickie Johnson, Camdenton, Mo., Becky Coulter, Fort Scott, Kan., and Beverly Harris, Columbus, Kan. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant sister Sheryl Lynn Harris, as well as her parents.

There was cremation. The family will hold a private memorial service. Memorials are suggested to Mercy Hospital Foundation, with an emphasis on transportation, and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
