Merlin and Betty Messer

Merlin and Betty Messer are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering on Saturday.

Betty Schafer and Merlin Messer were married Sept. 14, 1952 at the Fulton Methodist Church.

They are the parents of five children; Millie and Larry Karleskint, Margie and Rod Brown, Marty Messer, Matt and Susan Messer, and Scott and Brenda Messer.

They have 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
