Hume High School 50 year class reunion held

The Hume High School class of 1962 held its 50 year reunion on May 26 at the home of Lavoy and Harriet Bogan, Prescott, Kan.

After a noon luncheon, a special cake was displayed and served.

Graduates received a special red notebook (designed by Laina Bogan Miller) filled with 14 biographies and mementoes and pictures of each graduate, which had been saved by Harriet for just such a moment. Annuals, play books, basketball mementoes, jewelry, old newspapers and magazines, prom mementoes and old 45-rpm records were displayed.

Graduates shared fond memories and played a game of "Who did that?." The winner was Janie.

Those present were Mildred Brooks Bell, Virginia Sullivan Durbin and Jesse, Juanita Schooley Murphy, Dennis Helton and Connie, Tommy Murray, Sheryl Querry Hinton and Junior, Charles New (widower of Suzann McClaughrey), Janie Davidson Ruble and Larry and Harriet Horton Bogan.

Thos unable to attend were Gary Brown, Mary Lou Ward and Jean Clark Byars. However, they received their notebook through the mail.

All except Tom and Dennis attended alumni that evening.
