Pleasanton dominates Three Rivers League Relays

MOUND CITY -- Pleasanton dominated the Three Rivers League Relays here Thursday, winning both team titles by wide margins and collecting 22 boys' and 23 girls' medals.

Pleasanton's boys scored 133 points. Marmaton Valley was second with 87. Northeast came in third with 67 followed by Oswego 63, St. Paul 62, Crest 37, Jayhawk-Linn 34, Uniontown 33, Altoona-Midway 22 and Chetopa with 11.

Blu-Jay girls led their side with 155 points, 70 more than runner-up Northeast. St. Paul was third with 76 points followed by Crest 56, Uniontown 32, Jayhawk-Linn 29, Oswego 24, Marmaton Valley 22, Altoona-Midway 8 and Chetopa with no points.

Pleasanton's boys winners begin with Preston Coffman, who took the 300-meter hurdles in 42.83 and the pole vault at 12 feet even. The pole vault led a 1-2-3 finish as Mason Coffman was second at 11' 6" and Zac Willis was third at 10' 6".

Dylan Ellis won the 110-meter hurdles in 16.60 seconds with teammate Brady Anderson second in 19.07. Matt Bauer claimed high jump at 5' 10" and the Blu-Jay 4x100-meter relay team finished first in 46.99.

Austin Coleman had both winners for Jayhawk-Linn. He went 144 feet, 1 3/4 inches in discus and 44' 8" in shot put. Coleman was also third in javelin with a mark of 163' 4".

Other Pleasanton medalists were:

* -- Preston Coffman, second in the 100-meter dash in 11.56.

* -- Ellis, second in the 300 hurdles in 43.97.

* -- The 4x400-meter relay team taking second in 3:51.22.

* -- Inman Baker, second in discus at 133' 8 3/4" and fourth in shot put at 42' 6 1/2".

* -- Jacob Miller, third in the 200 in 24.35, fourth in the 100 in 11.80 and fifth in long jump at 18' 3 1/2".

* -- Mason Coffman, third in javelin at 156' 3 1/2".

* -- Anderson, fifth in the 300 hurdles in 51.83.

* -- Cole Campbell, fifth in the 400 in 58.60.

* -- Brandon Hensley, sixth in the 3,200 meters in 12:23.50.

* -- Colby Carter, sixth in javelin at 131' 7".

* -- The 4x800 relay team was sixth in 10.43.85.

Jayhawk-Linn won a total of six medals. The other three went to:

* -- Jacob Grimes, third in javelin at 149' 7".

* -- Adam Higginbotham, sixth in discus at 109' 6" and in shot put at 40' 0 1/2".

Uniontown won eight medals, but none higher than third.

* -- The 4x800-meter relay took third in 10:06.29.

* -- Skyler Riley was third in the 110 hurdles in 19.41 and fourth in the 300 hurdles in 48.94.

* -- Carter Wood took third in the high jump at 5' 6".

* -- The 4x100 relay was fourth in 48.97.

* -- Dakota Henderson was fourth in the 1,600 in 5:23.38 while Montana Beerbower took sixth in 5:33.70.

* -- Beerbower was fifth in the 3,200 in 11:58.49.

Karesa Lewis won three of Pleasanton girls' seven event crowns. She took the 100-meter hurdles in 16.46, the 300's in 50.89 and long jump at 15' 5 3/4".

Autumn Secrest won two other events. She claimed pole vault at 7 feet even and triple jump at 28' 7".

Harley Fletcher won high jump at 4' 8" for Pleasanton while the 4x800 relay won in 12:03.47.

Uniontown's only winner was Abby Dixon in discus with a mark of 97' 7 3/4". She was also third in javelin at 91' 2".

Other Pleasanton medalists were:

* -- Lewis, second in the 200 in 27.74.

* -- Secrest, second in the 100 hurdles in 17.97 and third in the 300's in 54.15.

* -- The 4x100 relay team was second in 55.43.

* -- Meranda Lowe, third in the 400 in 1:06.19 and fifth in the 100 in 13.72.

* -- The 4x400 relay team finished third in 4:58.38.

* -- Savannah Reynolds, third in the 800 in 2:50.85.

* -- Darcy Ellis, fourth in the 300 hurdles in 57.44.

* -- Fletcher, fifth in long jump at 13' 6 1/4".

* -- Rhiannon Jones, fifth in javelin at 73' 10".

* -- Dakota McCullough, fifth in the 200 in 29.59 and sixth in the 400 in 1:07.78.

Uniontown's girls won five other medals:

* -- DaNisha Robinson, third in shot put at 30' 5 1/2".

* -- Amelia Brown, fourth in javelin at 78' 10".

* -- Rachel Henderson, fourth in the 3,200 in 15:12.67 and sixth in the 1,600 in 6:35.00.

* -- Jana Wilkinson, sixth in the 800 in 2:53.76.

Jayhawk-Linn did not win any events. Their six medals were won by three athletes:

* -- Ashtyn Miller, second in shot put at 32' 9" and fourth in discus at 83' 3 3/4".

* -- Jana Pavlikova, second in the 800 in 2:50.29 and sixth in the 100 in 13.82.

* -- Megan Leavitt, third in the 1,600 in 6:19.00 and fifth in the 800 in 2:52.67.

Each of the three area schools as well as TRL schools Northeast, Marmaton Valley and Oswego, will return here Friday for the Jayhawk-Linn Class 2A Regional Meet. Field events begin at 3 p.m. with track events set to start at 5 p.m.
