Wanda Louise Sleightholm, 70, of Fort Scott, passed away early Monday, May 7, 2012, at Mercy.

She was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Robstown, Texas, the daughter of Reece L. and Bernice L. (Weeks) Wallis. Wanda moved to Wichita, Kan., from Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1990 and then to Fort Scott in 1993. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Pam Meas of Overland Park, Kan., Jennifer Quick and Phil of Fort Scott, and Melissa Collins and Bobby, also of Fort Scott; three sisters, Joye Bohac of Skidmore, Texas, Beth Ermis of Mathis, Texas, and Lola Pate of Jourdanton, Texas; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Brett, Zach, Gabe, Peyton, Wesley, Winston, and Lillian; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandchild.

Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home for an 11 a.m. graveside service at the Evergreen Cemetery officiated by Rev. Kevin Moyers.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012, from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
