"New and Exciting Flowers for Your Home Landscape" will be presented by State Floriculture Specialist Alan Stevens on Thursday, March 15, at Fort Scott Community College, Bailey Hall -- Room A128, beginning at 6 p.m. Stevens will highlight the Prairie Star flowers, which is a collection of annual flower varieties best adapted to the challenging prairie climate and which have exhibited superior performance for two or more years in the Kansas State University bedding plant research trials. Prairie Star flowers are the best of the best -- flowers that grow and bloom abundantly with minimal care.

The Southwind Extension District is sponsoring this program. It is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Erie office at (620) 244-3826.
