Uniontown 4-H elects officers

The Uniontown 4-H Club members celebrated with their families Sunday, Dec. 4, with a Christmas meeting. The members gathered at 5:30 p.m. to sign Christmas cards to be delivered at local nursing homes.

Leaders Laura George and Teresa Martin installed the new 2012 officers. The 2012 officers include: President Drew George,Vice President Chase Gleason, Secretary Amber Bartlett, Reporter Danielle Nading, Recreation leaders Robyn Martin and Madelyn Ard, Historians Bryce Meanor and Marissa Meanor, Song Leaders Dawson Bolinger and Bryce Meanor.

Announcements were made about the recycling project. Members are to bring old newspapers to next month's meeting to be recycled. Canned goods are to be brought to be given at roll call to help the local Baptist food pantry.

Members were to sign up for the model meeting to be demonstrated at county 4-H days. Model meeting practice will be announced at a later date.

The group welcomed visitor McKenna Morillo and her family and then shared a wonderful Christmas dinner together.

The next meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Uniontown Community Building.
