Everett and Maxine had two children, Randall Everett and Cheri Lee, and raised their family in Shoreline, Wash., a suburb of Seattle.

Maxine loved to travel, and in 1985 she fulfilled a lifelong dream to visit Italy and eastern Europe. She loved the water and mountains of the Pacific Northwest and enjoyed many vacations in Hawaii and Florida. She will be remembered for her love and generosity toward her family and friends and her love of silver poodles.

Maxine is survived by her daughter Cheri of the home, son Randy, four grandsons, three granddaughters and eight great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her nephew, Ron Wolf, and family of Fort Scott, her niece, Lois Query, of Fort Scott, her sister-in-law, Marge Wolf, of Golden, Colorado, brother-in-law, Marvin Gearhart, and family of Fort Worth, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews around the country.

She was preceded in death by her husband Everett in 1983, and over the years by her six brothers and three sisters. She was the last surviving child of Frank and Lilly Maude.

A private family burial will be at a later date in Shaw, Kan., and she will be laid to rest next to her beloved Everett. Condolences may be sent in care of Cheri Earl, P.O. Box 427, Fort Scott, Kansas, 66701.
