Bronson Eastern Star convenes

The Bronson Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 65 met Wednesday evening, April 13, with 17 members present. The meeting opened with Worthy Matron Elsie Weast and Worthy Patron Glenn Smith in the East.

After a short recess, officers were installed. They are (Worthy Matron) Ednamarie Jackson; (Worthy Patron) Glenn Smith; (Associate Matron) Martha Heffernon; (Associate Patron) Jim Heffernon; (Secretary) Margaret Johnson; (Treasurer) Elizabeth Lundberg; (Conductress) Elsie Weast; (Associate Conductress) Erma Eastwood; (Chaplain) Juia Ann Rhoton; (Marshal) Elvis Reeder; (Adah) Geri Reeder; (Ruth) Bonita Holeman; (Esther) Grace Smith; (Martha) Retta Smith; (Electa) Linda Neville; (Warder) Tom Johnson; and (Sentinel) Louis Pool. The organist will be installed at a later date.

Bronson Chapter is saddened by the loss of a 50-year member Mary Stewart. Coin march was held.

Worthy Matron Ednamarie Jackson read about the Easter Bunny. Worthy Patron Glenn Smith's closing thought was "When a litte bird tells you something, make sure that bird was not a cuckoo."

The meeting closed in form. Refreshments of strawberries, cake, Cool Whip, monkey bread, candy jelly beans, nuts, potato chips, cheese dip, coffee and water were served by Elvis Reeder, Geri Reeder and Linda Neville.
