JEANNIE CAROL LAWSON

Jeannie Carol Lawson, age 60, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott.

She was born July 16, 1950, in Sacramento, Calif., the daughter of George Robert Claar and Lois Carol Butcher Claar.

She married Robert K. Lawson on Oct. 23, 1996, at Wichita, Kan. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2010.

Jeannie attended the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

She enjoyed raising dogs.

Survivors include two sons, Brandon Bell and wife, Kim, Fort Scott, and Adam Bell, Visalia, Calif. Also surviving are a brother, Robert Claar, St. Cloud, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

There was cremation. Father Darrin May will conduct a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at the St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Jeannie Lawson Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
