Art exhibit and sale Wednesday in Fort Scott

The Bourbon County Arts Council will open the 19th Annual Fine Art Exhibit and Sale with a reception honoring the artists and juror at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Scottish Rite Temple, 110 S. Main St.

Artists from Kansas and Missouri will have their work on display and for sale in this multimedia exhibit.

Participating Bourbon County artists are Deb Anderson, Danny R. Cambers, Heather Engstrom, Fred R. Fay III, Barbara Gibson, Jeanie Hart, Bobbi Kemna, Taylor A. Lemmon, Ithaca Marlier, Whendi Martin, David McCord, Brenda Ogle, Eric Popp and Jim Sackett.

Artists participating from Nevada, are Jeanne A. Board, Linda Thury Rogers and Sandi Shumaker.

Mike DeRosa, longtime art instructor at Coffeyville County Community College will act as juror for the event.

The BCAC will host the Chamber Coffee at 8 a.m. Thursday at City Hall, 123 S. Main St. The exhibit will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. There is no admission charge.

Partial funding for the exhibit is provided by the Kansas Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
