ONLINE FIRST: Tribune now on Facebook

In an effort to better serve the community of Fort Scott, The Fort Scott Tribune has launched a fan page on the social-networking site Facebook.com.

Links to The Tribune's top stories will be posted on the page as well as many photos in addition to those printed in the paper.

In addition to posting links to stories and photos, the staff will also be using the page to get feedback from the community. For example, with elections coming up the staff will be interviewing a number of politicians. Through the Facebook page, The Tribune can find out what questions the community would like answered.

Through the page, community members will be able to upload their own photos of events for even more coverage of the Fort Scott community. Photos posted by The Tribune are available for purchase by calling (620) 223-1460.
