Fort Scott downtown celebration today
On Saturday, Fort Scott is celebrating its historic district with a full day of activities. The fun begins at 8 a.m., when visitors can stop by the Farmers' Market, take a History Hunt for kids (details at Life and Style, Courtland Spa or chamber offices, join in a bike rodeo in the Skubitz Plaza or visit the Fort Scott National Historic Site.
Next, visitors can visit with authors at Judy's Country Cupboard, take a guided tour that starts at the big planter at the north end of Main Street, take a ride on Dolly the Trolley, or tour the Lowell Milken Center, all starting at 10 a.m. Many other activities are taking place throughout the day, ending with live music by Triple Threat at the Liberty Theater, starting at 8 p.m. Most activities will be conducted rain or shine.
