Fulton High School Class of 1960 announces 50th reunion to be held May 29

Shirley White of the Fulton High School Class of 1960 announces the class is celebrating its 50th reunion, May 29, at the school. They invite all other classes to drop in and visit. They will start at 2 p.m. There were 14 graduates in 1960. They lost two of their classmates this last year, Joey Taiclet and Buddy Gould. She is expecting 100 percent in attendance this year, so please join them.

Ron and Linda Center traveled to Sioux Falls, S.D., May 3 and 4, for the funeral of Linda's cousin, Joan Hartman Anderberg.

Saturday, May 8, Shirley White and Linda McBride joined the Prescott Ladies Breakfast Group for brunch at a local bed and breakfast in Fort Scott.

Janet Keefer and Carol Carter, both of Lenexa, treated their parents, Camey and Estalee Simpson, to lunch at Chicken Annie's in honor of Mother's Day.

Linda Center joined others at Gunn Park, Saturday May, 8, to celebrate the 10th birthday of Caleb Rhoades.

Saturday, May 8, Joe and Shirley White attended the wedding anniversary celebration, at the Holmtown Pub, in honor of Robert and Linda Findley's 40th and Woody and Susan Woods 25th anniversaries.

Recent visitors at the home of Tony and Buena Karleskint were their children, Kathy and Ron Higgins, Tulsa, Okla., Pat and Mike Worford, Springfield, Mary Jo and Robbie, Willard, and Jim Karleskint, Mayetta, Kan.

Joe and Shirley White joined other family for a Mother's Day barbecue, at the home of Mike and Marsha Dark, Jayden and Lucus.

Jack and Marge Stephan attended their great-grandson, Ben Stewart's, graduation from lola High School, and their grandson, Aaron Compton's, graduation from Pittsburg State University.

Ron, Linda, Ronette, Scott, Kacy, and Lindsey Center, June Hereford, Kelsie Jo Collins, and Debbie Lefevre enjoyed Mother's Day dinner at Chicken Mary's.

Thursday, May 13, Susan White, Alicia Craig and Shirley White enjoyed shopping in Pittsburg.

Saturday, May 15, Dale and Betty Hixon joined others of their motorcycle club at a cookout at the home of Allen and Dee Ann Davis.

Saturday and Sunday, May 15 and 16 Joe and Shirley White joined family and friends at the home of Rachel Craig, and painted the interior of her newly remodeled home.

Those from our area attending the high school graduation cookout in honor of Kellie Johnson Friday evening, May 14, were, Shelley Rooks, Brittani, Chase and Courtney, Dale and Betty Hixon, Ron and Linda Center.

James Center was honored with a pre-school graduation party, Monday evening, May 10, at Gunn Park. Scott and Kacy Center hosted the party. Joining them were June Hereford, Ron, Linda, Ronette and Lindsey Center, and Kelsie Jo Collins. James graduated from Precious Lambs Pre-school, Thursday, May 13. Papa Ron and Grammama Linda treated all to dinner at Nu-Grille after graduation.

Sunday, May 16, Dale and Betty Hixon and Esther Secrest enjoyed dinner at Chicken Mary's.

Saturday afternoon, May 15, June Hereford, Ron, Linda and Ronette Center joined others at the home of Dan and Jackie Hereford for a graduation BBQ in honor of their son, Jake's, graduation from Pittsburg State University with an Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Technology.

Monday evening, May 17, Betty Hixon attended the Garden Club at the home of Chris Judy.

Tuesday, May 18, Zach Stephan, Billings, Mont., visited his grandparents, Jack and Marge Stephan.

Saturday evening, Ron, Linda, Ronette, Scott and Kacy Center traveled to Golden City, Mo., for the graduation of Janessa Dade from Golden City High School. Janessa's parents, Monty and Kathy Dade, hosted a BBQ at their home for family, teachers and friends after the ceremony. Janessa is the niece of Ron and Linda.

Perry and Peggy Bloesser hosted a graduation buffet for their daughter, Jill Fritter after her graduation from Nevada High School Sunday afternoon, May 16. Ron, Linda, Ronette and James Center joined other family and friends for the event.
