Eagle baseball evens record

BRONSON -- Uniontown's baseball team evened its record at 5-5 with a 12-2 run-rule victory over Marmaton Valley Tuesday in a non-league game.

The game was part of an Appreciation Day the Eagles hosted to thanks those people and businesses who helped get the program started three years ago.

Junior pitcher Anthony Myers (4-1) went all 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits with 4 strikeouts.

Tyler Hall went 2 for 3 for Uniontown and scored 4 runs. Max Labbe drove in 3 runs on a double in the second inning. Jordan Woods recorded 4 stolen bases.

The Eagles host a pair of make-up doubleheaders this weekend. Jayhawk-Linn visits Bronson Friday and St. Paul comes in Saturday.
