Fort Scott native serving in Iraq receives promotion to Sergeant

Sgt. Clint Metcalf, a Fort Scott native, was recently promoted to the rank of Seargent, while serving in Camp Liberty, Baghdad, Iraq, where he is finishing up a one year deployment. He will be returning back to Fort Drum, New York in late March.

Sgt. Metcalf is a Hazmat Response Technichian currently deployed with 4/59th Hazmat Response Platoon, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Along with his Hazmat Response duties, He is also the primary navigator of personel security team which supports Task Force Troy, the headquarters unit of all EOD operations in Iraq.

Sgt. Metcalf recently re-enlisted for another four year term to move to Fort Hood, Texas in August, where he will be a member of the 1st Calvary Divison.
