Lady Landlord meeting Feb. 17

Fertilization rates, weed control, government programs and estate planning will be discussed at a lady landlord meeting scheduled for Feb. 17.

This multi-county event is sponsored by Allen, Bourbon, and Neosho County Kansas State Research and Extension Offices and will be held at the Bronson Community Building in Bronson. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the program commencing at 10 a.m.

Topics to be covered will include basic soil testing, noxious weed control, lease arrangements and agreements, government program availability and estate planning. Participants will also hear about the services available from local Extension Offices.

Doug Shoup, Crops and Soils; Bob Dawson, Farm Management Association; Delta George, Bourbon County; and Carla Nemecek, Allen County; and Krista Harding, Neosho County, all from K-State Research and Extension will share a portion of the program. Representatives from Eastern Kansas Royalty Owners Association and the Bourbon County Farm Service Agency are also scheduled as part of this informative program.
