Westar sending crews to Oklahoma to assist should storm cause outages

TOPEKA -- Westar Energy employees are preparing to leave for Tulsa, Okla. to assist American Electric Power (AEP) with likely power outages from an impending winter storm, according to a statement issued by the utility Thursday afternoon.
