Oswego spoils Uniontown's Homecoming, 44-13

UNIONTOWN, Kan. -- Oswego put a damper on Uniontown's Homecoming here Friday night as the Indians took a 44-13 decision.

The Eagles (2-3) scored the game's first 13 points. Ben Dixon scored first on a 16-yard run with Seth Sympson kicking the extra point to make it 7-0.

Ty Clayton scored on a 1-yard run later in the period and, although the PAT was unsuccessful, the Eagles led 13-0.

However, Oswego (5-0) scored 22 points in the second quarter, taking the lead when Nick Billingsley's 33-yard run broke a 13-13 tie.

Lane Martin scored three touchdowns for Oswego, including its first one of the game and both scores in the third quarter. Damon Trotnic scored twice.

Uniontown was held to 125 yards of total offense, just 39 on the ground on 40 carries. Oswego had all of its 366 total yards on the ground.

Dixon had a 39-yard catch for the Eagles. Ty Clayton had an interception and 13 tackles. Matt Maloney also made 13 tackles while Jordan Woods, Levi Ripper and Max Labbe each made 12 tackles.

The Eagles will play at Olpe, Kan., next Friday.
