Saturday, October 18, 2008

Lloyd and Martha Ann Callow, of rural Fort Scott, observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 4, 2008, at the Timberline Steak House, at Topeka, Kan., as guests of their children, Linda Biles and husband Rick, of Topeka, and Ann Ludlum and husband Joe, of Uniontown, Kan. Also present were grandchildren, Elizabeth and William Biles and friend Brenda Kostner.

The Callows hosted a pre-anniversary celebration for their family at The Thousand Hills Resort in Branson in August, which also included grandchildren, Beth and Kelli Ludlum and friend Matt Schertz, Washington, D.C. Kelli Ludlum entertained the entire group for lunch at the Texas Land and Cattle Company Steakhouse after a weekend of family fun and shows.

The Rev. Ray Nitcher officiated at the Callows' wedding on Oct. 3, 1948. They were both reared in Bourbon County and have lived in their present farm home near Hiattville, Kan., since 1950.
