Neptunes stir up the waters, medaling in five meets

The Nevada Neptunes swim team has gone back into action, adding medals from five swim meets to their collection.

At their dual meet against Joplin, Nevada scored medals for first place in girls eight and under 100-medley relay, girls 11-12 200-medley relay, boys 13-14 200-medley relay, girls 13-14 200-medley relay, girls eight and under 100-freestyle relay and boys 10 and under 100 freestyle relay. As a team, the Neptunes also added second place medals in boys 10 and under 100-medley relay, girls 10 and under 100-medley relay, girls 11-12 200-medley relay and boys eight and under 100-freestyle relay, along with third place in boys eight and under 100-medley relay, girls eight and under 100-medley relay, girls 10 and under 100-medley relay and girls eight and under 100-freestyle relay.

The Neptunes were able to bring home several individual medals as well. A total of 38 Neptunes swimmers, both boys and girls, were able to bring home top three finishes in individual events. These 38 swimmers combined brought home a total of 78 individual event medals, bringing Nevada's final total for the event to 100 medals.

At the Parsons Invitational, Nevada was able to earn team medals in girls eight and under 100-medley relay, girls 13-14 200-medley relay, girls eight and under 100-freestyle relay and girls 13-14 200-freestyle relay. The Neptunes added 17 individual medals from nine different swimmers in the meet as well, bringing their total to 21 medals.

The Neptunes were able to bring in another 26 medals in the meet they hosted in Nevada, including 18 individual event medals and eight relays.

Nevada fared even better at Carthage. The Neptunes brought home a total of 75 medals, with 12 coming from relays and 63 individual event medals.

The Webb City Invitational didn't have quite as delightful a result, however. The Neptunes came out of the meet with 21 medals, three of which came from relays, with the rest coming in individual events.
