Tuesday, July 1, 2008

The Bronson Ruritan Club met Monday, June 23 at the community center with a pot luck meal. President David Wilkins opened the meeting by leading the group in the singing of "America." Geri Reeder then gave a prayer.

Roll call was taken with 16 members present and one guest. Work hours were then turned into the Secretary, Luella Fuhrman. Vice President Lorie Stang called on special committee.

Fuhrman read the May board and meeting minutes. A treasurers report was given by Joyce Wilkins.

The club's pitching machine is slated to be repaired and Terry Johnton is to be paid for umpiring from the Bronson Day committee.

The person responsible for removing the lightning detector from the ball park is asked to return it to the Bronson Ruritan.

Work hours for the ball park were appointed and the Ruritan paper drive was held Sat. June, 28. The club dismissed with the flag salute and will meet again in July at the Methoist Annex, with church ladies serving.
