Senior Swinger's have special guest

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

The Senior Swingers' Monday Night Dance at Buck Run Community Center was well attended. The four or five couples from Pittsburg are vey faithful and love to dance. Some were originally from Fort Scott and love to come back.

We had a new guest tonight, Joe Chalkey, from Moran. He is a good dancer and seemed to enjoy dancing with all of our ladies.

There were more couples doing the "Put Your Little Foot" dance tonight. The music provides the rythm for them and it was nice to see the couples stepping to the song.

The chair dance is a good mixer and most everyone takes part.

We had two "line dances", one before the break and the other afterward.

On the two tables were sandwiches, chips, chicken and noodles, several different salads and creamed asparagass; which was very delicious.

There also was cinnamon rolls, cakes, puddings and several pies. It is always nice to have plenty of coffee and water for the evening.

Soon after break, the tables were cleaned, wiped off, and put away. There were several working in the kitchen and everything was soon taken care of, so it was soon back to the dancing.

Charles and Delores Hurst were able to come tonight and they are both dancing again.

There were no birthdays or annivesaries to report this week.

There will be a dance at the community center, in Pittsburg, Wednesday night, starting at seven p.m.

There will also be a dance at Cadmus, Friday night.
