OLIVEDEAN 'DEE' GREIG

Olivedean "Dee" Greig, age 61, a resident of Hepler, KS, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at her home. She was born May 8, 1946, in Chanute, KS, the daughter of Alva Clark and Gladys Stierwalt Clark. She married Billy Greig in 1977. He preceded her in death. Dee loved her many years of serving the Hepler community through the restaurant she owned. More recently, she was employed by Value Merchandisers in Fort Scott. She was known and loved by all. Throughout Dee's cancer illness, she and her family were grateful for the wonderful care they received from Dr. Matthews and Dr. Fox and their staffs.

Dee is survived by her three daughters, Deana Walls and husband Gregg, Towanda, KS; Angela Bartlett and husband Jason, Fort Scott; and Jessica Greig, Arma, KS; brother, Raymond Clark, Sr. and wife Marie, Chanute; sister Eva Grayson, Chanute; six grandchildren, Kallee, Kaven, Lucas, Taylor, Amanda, and Jayla; her companion, Melvin Johnson, Hepler; many nephews and nieces; and her dog, Pooh Bear. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy; and infant son, Charles Bockover.

Funeral services for Dee Greig will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2007, at the Cheney Witt Chapel, officiated by Pastor Glen Duderstadt. Burial will follow in the Hepler Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Cheney Witt. Memorial contributions are suggested to a College Fund for Dee's grandchildren, and may be left in care of Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, KS, 66701.
