Raiders bring Jayhawks’ playoff bid to crushing end

FRONTENAC, Kan. -- Kadlin Mendicki and Brett Marshall combined to bring Jayhawk-Linn’s playoff hopes to and end here Friday night as they led Frontenac to a 41-0 victory in Kansas Class 3A District 6 play.

Mendicki scored the game’s first two touchdowns on a 59-yard run and a 45-yard reception. Krumsick scored the next three on runs of 63, two and 10 yards.

The Jayhawks managed only 88 total yards in the contest.

The loss left Jayhawk-Linn at 0-2 in the distirct and 2-6 overall. They will host Northeast-Arma Thursday night to end the season. Frontenac and Erie, both 2-0, 4-4, have clinched playoff berths.
