Thomas Zibung

Thomas M. Zibung, age 41, resident of Moran, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City. He was born December 24, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of William A. and Mary (Miller) Zibung. He was raised in Kansas City and moved to Moran in 2000. While in Moran he worked as a meat cutter at Stub's Market and as a carpenter. He was currently attending the Fort Scott Community College Harley-Davidson Center and had worked a 10 week internship at Worth Harley-Davidson in Kansas City. He enjoyed all things motorcycle, and camping. His greatest joy was his family. He married Christina Reyes on September 18, 1993 in Independence, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Zibung.

Survivors include his wife, Christina, son, Tommy Zibung and daughter, Ashley Zibung, all of the home; mother, Mary Winterringer, Chanute; brothers, William Zibung and wife, Brenda, Chanute, and Bryan Zibung and wife, Jessica, Sugar Creek, Missouri; sisters, Cindy Dillinger and husband, Paul, of Florida, Christine Zibung, of Florida, and Alicia Zibung, Kirksville, Missouri; mother-in-law, Roberta Abuchon, Kincaid; nephew, Billy Zibung, Chanute; and niece, Kaydance Zibung, Sugar Creek, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the Moran United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Bubna officiating. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Mildred. Family will greet friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 344 N. Cedar, Moran. Memorials are suggested to the Zibung's Children's Fund.
