Hattie Lyman

Hattie E. Lyman, age 87, resident of 720 S. Main Street, Fort Scott, Kansas, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at Mercy Health Center. She was born January 2, 1919 in Waldenburg, Michigan the daughter of Charles Frederick Jasmund and Meina Kraatz Jasmund. Hattie married Clifford Harold Lyman on February 16, 1937. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1993. The couple moved from Michigan to Fort Scott in 1957. She was a member of the Faith Christian Center. Her hobbies include embroidery and reading. Survivors include two sons, Clifford Harold Lyman Jr. and wife Linda, and Carl Frederick Lyman and wife Debbie, all of Fort Scott and one brother, Arthur Jasmund of Michigan. Also surviving are three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Clifford Lyman III and granddaughter Sherrill Beck who died this past Tuesday; one sister and four brothers.

Pastor Tim O'Neal will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in U. S. National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. Friday until service time at the funeral home.
