Cloma Alberta Commons, 97, of Fort Scott, died Thursday morning, Jan. 3, 2013, at Mercy Hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Bourbon County, Kan., the daughter of Francis A. and Sarah Alice (Browning) Oharah. She married Guy Calvin Commons April 6, 1932 in Prescott, Kan. He preceded her in death Feb. 18, 1997.

Cloma is survived by her daughters, Arlene Boswell of Fort Scott, Kansas, and Freeda Brady of LaCygne, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 17great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Cloma was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clyde Allen Commons; four sisters, Elsie Lamb, Zola Jones, Dova Walker, and Opal Atkisson; and two brothers, Verne Oharah, and Finis Oharah.

Services for Cloma will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home with burial following at the Centerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
