A short-handed Fort Scott Community College women's team took on a Highland squad that gave no quarter at Arnold Arena Tuesday night. The outcome saw the visiting Scotties score the second-most points ever posted against a Greyhound team in a 106-49 rout in Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division play. The game was also a seeding game for Division II post-season play.

Greyhound head coach Katie Reihmann has suspended three players for team violations and in order to put a team on the court has brought on a volleyball player and two members of the softball team. They first played in Friday night's 70-51 loss at Cottey.

But that means only six players are dressing out for the time being. Malori Gales has moved to playing some point guard. Burgandie Lewis is the only true post who is active right now and due to foul trouble, she couldn't really get going until the second half.

Highland (6-0) shot 49 percent from the field, making 42 of 85 field-goal attempts, including 12 of 37 three-pointers. Fort Scott shot 30 percent on 16 of 54.

Highland also outrebounded Fort Scott (3-3), 55-37, dished 22 assists and picked up 20 steals.

Lewis did finish with a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Erika McKenzie added a career-high 16 points. Jackie Horn, the volleyball player, made 5 of 9 shots and finished with 12 points.
