Daughters of the Nile make Christmas plans

Ruth Farmer and Pam Lyons hosted the September meeting of the Daughters of the Nile. President Nancy Ayers opened the meeting with the flag salute.

President Ayers thanked the hostesses and the program book committee, Mary Ellen Lundberg and Bernita Hill. Sewing and Temple reports were given.

The club voted to match the $300 donation from the Bourbon County Shrine for Christmas gifts to the Shriner's Hospital.

The annual Christmas party was announced for Dec. 11 at the Presbyterian Church. Members will hold a $5 gift exchange.

The October meeting will be with Opal Binford with Mary Ellen Lundberg as co-hostess.
