He formerly owned a pizza restaurant on Main Street in Fort Scott, Kan. His greatest joy in life was his family and he was especially proud of his 10 grandchildren: Kelsey, Morgan, Susanne, Jake, Macy, Bailey, Sydney, Halle, Maris and Kaylee. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 37-plus years, Sharon Rea Alexander; his children, Mike Carpenter, Seattle, Wash., Michelle Abouk and husband Shahin, Plano, Texas, Rusty Alexander and wife Julie, Rodgers, Ariz., Cammie Bowren and husband David, San Antonio, Texas, and Alison Lawler and husband Chris, Jenks, Okla. Also surviving is his sister, Judy Alexander Wise, Fort Scott.

"Ronnie," as he was known to his friends, was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Raymond Alexander.

There was cremation. In celebration of his life, a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, at the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott.
