MARY LOUISE KOPASKA
Mary Louise Kopaska, 74, died at her home in Olathe, Kan., early Tuesday morning, April 10, 2012.
She was born Oct. 14, 1937, in Doniphan, Kan. the daughter of Harold Charles and Evelyn Cecilia (Novinski) Boos.
She married Raymond Eugene Kopaska April 21, 1956 in Atchison, Kansas, and he survives of the home.
Mary worked at Honeywell as a technician on aircraft radios, retiring after 30 years with the company. She attended St. Paul's Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband Ray, Mary is survived by four daughters, Sheila Kopaska-Merkel of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Cherrie Hopkins of Olathe, Kan., Tina Howell, also of Olathe, Tammy Howell of Paola, Kan.; one son, Timothy Kopaska of Olathe; two sisters, Kathy Kirstenmacher of Valley, Wash., and Pat Bisang of Overland Park, Kan.; and four brothers, John Boos of Vancouver, Wash., George Boos of Atchison, Kan., Harold Boos, also of Atchison, and Stephen Boos of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Aloysius Boos and Leo Boos, and one sister, Theresa Baker.
Private family services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2012, under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
