Grace Baptist Tabernacle hosts annual missions conference

Shirley White joined the Prescott Bunco Ladies Group March 16. All enjoyed playing Bunco.

Charley and Diane Clay hosted youth fellowship after church Sunday night. Everyone enjoyed taco salad, chips and dip, soda pop and cupcakes. They played a game before leaving that all enjoyed.

Roger Simpson and his son, Jonas, Double Oak, Texas, enjoyed spending their spring break with his parents, Carney and Estalee Simpson.

The Grace Baptist Tabernacle hosted its annual missions conference March 13-18. On Saturday morning, March 17, the men met for their prayer breakfast. Saturday evening, everyone met for their missions dinner.

Countries represented and their hosts were: Junk Food table, Brandy Rhoades and the Youth Department; Kay Hughes was host for the India table; American food table was hosted by Beverly Russell; Charlotte Johnson was the Haiti and Domican Republic host was Charlotte Johnson; Asian food table, Kim Carpenter; Mexican food table, Heather Russell; Diane Clay, Italian food; state of Texas food table, Ronette, Kacy and Linda Center.

Rev. Jerry Byars gave a devotion after the meal.

Joe and Shirley White enjoyed a fish fry hosted by St. Mary's Church Friday evening. They attended the music show with Ralph Carlson and the group.

Janet and Mike Keefer and Carol Center, all from Lenexa, and Estalee Simpson attended the funeral service for Carney's brother, Wayne Simpson in Arma, Friday, March 21.

Debbie and Leroy White, Tara Anderson, Ozark, Mo., spent the weekend with her parents, Joe and Shirley White. Joining for the barbecue on Saturday at noon were: Susan and Ron McBride; Alicia Craig and girls of Arma; Shelby and Kesey McBride, Fredonia; Rachelle Craig Cagle; Rebecca Cagle; Jordan and Maddie Thurston; Mike and Marsha Clark; and Jaden Lucas.

Madi Thurston and Jordan Clark spent the night Saturday.

The youth of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle enjoyed an all-night party Friday, March 23. The evening started with pizza, cookies, drinks and games. They all left for Joplin and enjoyed laser tag. The rest of the night was spent playing several Wii game and viewing a movie.

For breakfast, Brandy Rhoades made homemade sausage rolls and cinnamon rolls. Sponsors helping were Youth Pastor Brian and Brandy Rhoades, Pastor Paul Rooks and Shelley, Ben Brundage, and Ron and Linda Center.
