Jacqulyn Joy Mealman, 61, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Saturday, July16, 2011, at the Fort Scott Manor.

She was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Thomas Andrew Mealman and Gladys Margaret Smith Mealman.

She graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1969.

Jackie was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and the Olive Chapter No. 13 Order of Easter Star. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, especially sewing, quilting, embroidery and crocheting.

Jackie is survived by two aunts, an uncle and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two half-sisters, Alice Jo Mealman and Evelyn Joyce Snyder.

Pastor Donna Fuller will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel.

Eastern Star services will be conducted by the Olive Chapter No. 13 Order of Eastern Star. Burial will follow in the Prescott Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Shrine Transportation Fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
