KENNETH MICHAEL "BUDDY" GOULD

Kenneth Michael "Buddy" Gould, resident of Fort Scott, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, April 21, 2009, at the Mercy Health Center emergency room.

He was born September 21, 1941, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Kenneth Max Gould and Emma Grubb Boone Gould.

Buddy was a 1960 graduate of Fulton High School.

Following high school, he served with the United States Army in Germany.

He married Marsha Merriman in 1969. They had two children together and later divorced.

Buddy retired in 2005 as a tuck pointer with Mid-Continental Restoration.

He was a life member of the Olson Frary Burkhart Post No. 1165 V. F. W. and also a member of the Fort Scott Elks.

His hobbies included working on his truck.

Survivors include his daughter, Brandy Leslie and husband Brent, Fort Scott; a son, Kelly Gould, Fort Scott; sister, Judy Pat Moore, Moncks Corner, South Carolina; and a half brother, Jack Grubb, Fort Scott. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Danyelle Schultz, Alyssa and Breanna Leslie; several nieces and nephews, and a close companion, Beverly Brind, Fort Scott.

Pastor Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m., Friday in the Cheney Witt Chapel.

Burial will follow in U. S. National Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Post No. 1165 V.F.W.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
