Syreta Pearl Todd, age 92, a resident of Flower Mound, Texas, died Wednesday, at the Medical Center in Lewisville, Texas. She was born May 17, 1916 in Arma, Kan., the daughter of George Washington Honsicker and Hannah "Tinnie" Goodwin Honsicker. Pearl grew up on a farm south of Girard, Kan. and was a graduate of Girard High School.

She went to work for John Russell Todd, who was owner/operator of Hy-Test Fuel Company in Pittsburg, Kan. They later married and moved to Fort Smith, Ark., in 1940 where the couple owned and operated the Flamingo Capri Motel. They lived in Fort Smith for 50 years. She also worked in New York City for the president of the National Council of Churches for two years. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, John Russell Todd, Jr. of Flower Mound, Texas; a daughter, Catherine Anne Mutch and husband John, Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren, John Mark Todd and Tiffany Todd, both of Dallas, Texas, Marylee Alice Mutch, Boston, Mass., and Elizabeth Ashley Mutch, Charolette, N.C.

Also surviving are several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Jess, Raymond and Earl Honsicker, and one sister, Grace Petgen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Girard City Cemetery. Services under the direction of Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan.
