Opal Eileen Jackson 86 of Fort Scott, died Friday morning, April 4, 2008, at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 23, 1921, in Ulman, Mo., the daughter of Leander Chadwick and Adeline Curry (Williams) Colvin. She married Mack Christy, Dec. 24, 1936, in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death March 6, 1966. She later married John J. Jackson, Aug. 22, 1968, and he preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1996.

She is survived by her children, Gene Christy and his wife June, of Girard, Kan., Maxine Hunziker, of Fort Scott, and Sam Christy, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; Glen, Bill, Gene, George, and Lee Colvin, and one sister; Ines Sanders.

The Rev. Ernest Watson and the Rev. Marty DeWitt, will conduct funeral services for Eileen 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Uniontown, Kansas, with burial following at the Marmaton Cemetery.
