Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced numerous appointments to boards and commissions Friday. Among them is Fort Scott Community College Athletic Director J.D. Ettore.

Ettore was appointed to a four-year term on the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Board of Trustees.

"I'm excited and honored to serve on the KSHOF Board of Trustees," Ettore said. "This appointment is very exciting, not only for me personally, but also for FSCC and the Fort Scott community."

Ettore received a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communications from Mount Saint Mary's University and is currently completing his master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Fort Hays State University.

"We are fortunate to have individuals who are willing and dedicated to serve on these boards and commissions," Brownback said. "I appreciate their help to continue making Kansas a great state."

Seven members make up the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Board of Trustees who are appointed by the governor. The board oversees the Hall of Fame museum, located in Wichita, which is dedicated to preserving the history of sports in the state of Kansas.
