Everitt Leroy Marshall, age 78, resident of Fort Scott, died early Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Mercy Hospital.

He was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Fort Scott the son of Simeon Marshall and Ada Terrill Marshall. Everitt married Bonnie Christine Williams on Jan. 19, 1951 in Fort Scott.

He was retired following 30-plus years with the Wilbert Vault Co.

He loved to fish and travel, especially to Branson, Mo. He attended the Assembly of God Church when his health allowed. Survivors include his wife Bonnie; one son, Shawn Marshall and wife Chana; one daughter, Judy Cooper and husband Mike, all of Fort Scott. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Stacy Leachner, Melissa Ward, Matt Cooper and Cambria Thompson; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gary Marshall, two sisters and two brothers.

Rev. Steve Bell will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends may meet at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
