Fellowship and fun at Mapleton Christian Church

Friday, October 12, 2012

On Oct. 7, the Mapleton Christian Church hosted a Cowboy Church at the Mapleton arena followed by a four-hour trail ride. A wagon was available for the children and those who chose not to ride a horse. It was a fun time for about 28 people. Following the ride, participants enjoyed a cookout back at the church with all the trimmings. What a beautiful day of fellowship fun, and of course, lots of food. Thanks to all who were involved with hosting this event and those who provided horses, wagon and all the food.

Every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Mapleton Christian Church hosts a Bible Study called Rockin' for Jesus. Snacks are provided and many kinds of rocking chairs for relaxing while learning about the word of God.

The first Thursday of each month is movie/pizza night in lieu of the normal Bible study. Christian movies are shown and snacks and pizza are enjoyed by all.

There is never a charge for this. Come join Thursday at 7 p.m. Call (620) 224-1175 for more information.

If anyone in the Mapleton area has something important they want to share, please get the information to P.O. Box 82, Mapleton, Kan., 66754 each Monday for submission to the paper.
