Rienbolt second at Parsons

CHERRYVALE -- Fort Scott High junior Katren Rienbolt finished in second place in the girls' varsity race of Parsons' Calvin Priest Cross-Country Invitational at Big Hill Lake near here Thursday.

Labette County's Michaela Ozier won the four-kilometer race in 15:14.93 with Rienbolt coming in at 15:21.01.

Grace Willis finished eighth for the Tigers in the girls' junior varsity race, coming in with a time of 19:54.70 over four kilometers. Clare Gorman was 25th in the 52-person race in 21:24.14. Kyle Brown was 30th in 21:52.78.

Garrett Tatro turned in a time of 17:15.02 over four kilometers to finish 40th out of 112 runners in the boys' JV race. Zach Ballou was 60th in 18:11.21.

The Tigers will be at Iola today to compete in the Doc Stiles Invitational at Riverside Park.
